From Silence to Voice :

Bernice Buresh and Suzanne Gordon do presentations, both singly and together, that expand upon the material in From Silence to Voice. While the type and length of their presentations vary, a popular 2-part format starts with a keynote or initial lecture that lays out concepts of public communication followed by a practical workshop that provides opportunities for nurses to craft compelling stories and develop strategies that articulate and promote the value of nursing work.

The objectives are:

To increase participants' mastery in constructing positive communications about nurses and nursing.
To develop themes and messages that will gain nurses greater respect, recognition and reward for their work.
To identify and overcome internal obstacles that reinforce nurses' silence.
